Vijayawada, Nov 9: The State-Level Lawyers’ Carrom and Chess Competitions, organized by the Andhra Pradesh State Bar Federation under the leadership of its President Sri A.K. Basha, concluded successfully this evening at the Vijayawada Court Complex. The two-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from across Andhra Pradesh, with more than 400 advocates representing various Bar Associations competing in carrom and chess. Over 50 participants emerged as winners, showcasing great sportsmanship and unity within the legal fraternity. The valedictory function was graced by Hon’ble Justice Sri Nainala Jayasurya Garu, Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, who presented medals and trophies to the winners. Speaking on the occasion, Justice Jayasurya appreciated the Federation’s efforts, stating that such programs bring advocates from all regions together, strengthening unity, discipline, and mutual respect among the legal community. Addressing the gathering, Sri A.K. Basha , President of the AP State Bar Federation, thanked all participants, Bar Associations, and judges for their wholehearted support. He said, “These competitions are not only for recreation but also for building brotherhood among advocates. I thank all members who made this event a grand success. During the event, Sri Chalasani Venkat , son of Sri Chalasani Ajay Kumar , Member of the Andhra Pradesh Bar Council, was felicitated for his remarkable efforts in securing the release of ₹48 crores Matching Grant Fund from the Government for the families of deceased advocates. Hon’ble Justice Nainala Jayasurya personally congratulated Sri Chalasani Venkat , appreciating his contribution and dedication to the welfare of advocates across the state. The ceremony was attended by Sri K. Seetharam , Joint Secretary of the AP State Bar Federation, along with several governing body members, senior advocates, and junior lawyers.

Vijayawada: Hon’ble MLA of Vijayawada West, Sri Sujana Chowdary Garu, inaugurated four new science labs Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Zoology at the Government Urdu Junior College, Kabela Centre, established with the support of Sujana Foundation and Bhagyanagar gas Company MD Karnati Ram Mohan Rao Garu. The MLA recalled that during his visit seven months ago, the college classrooms and infrastructure were in poor condition with no science labs. I decided then to provide proper facilities for Urdu Speaking students so they can compete equally with others, he said. He appreciated the efforts of Mohammad Abdul Khader Garu and Principal Hafiz Shaik Ahmad for coordinating the requirements and ensuring the smooth setup of the labs. The MLA also arranged mid-day meal facilities for students and assured continued support for further development. For any minority related work, just send me a proposal I’ll make sure it’s done, he assured. When asked what inspired him to take up the project, he said, It’s my duty and an act of humanity to help my people especially Muslim students and small business owners. On future plans, he added, “Any proposal related to education or community development I’m ready to support. Minority leaders Janab Nagoor Mera and Janab M.S. Baig also attended the event and lauded the MLA’s dedication to improving facilities and promoting education among the Urdu-speaking community.

Vijayawada Hon’ble MP of Vijayawada , Sri Kesineni Sivanath Garu, inaugurated the new office of Sufi Seva Sadan at HB Colony, Bhavanipuram, and lauded its 20 years of dedicated social service. The MP praised Faizan, Chairman of Sufi Seva Sadan and TDP Minority Cell State Secretary, for his consistent efforts to support the poor and bring positive change in society. Service activities that uplift the poor are the true foundation of social progress, the MP said, assuring continued support to the organization. Vijayawada, Oct. 26: Students of Icon Public School, Mogalrajapuram, achieved remarkable success at the 16th Interstate International Japan Shito-Karate Championship 2025 held in Mangalagiri, Tadepalli district, winning a total of 69 medals including 24 gold, 22 silver, and 23 bronze in various categories and age groups. School Director Y. Parthasarathy congratulated the winners for their outstanding performance, praising their discipline and dedication. Principal Praveen, Karate Academy Director J.M. Das, and senior instructors Arif Pasha and P. Satish Kumar also appreciated the students for bringing pride to the school

Nandyal, Oct. 23: In a major step to support minority education, Minister for Law and Minority Welfare, Janab N.M.D. Farooq, launched Urdu Medium 10th Class Study Material prepared by the Centre for Educational Development of Minorities CEDM at a function held in Nandyal. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Farooq said that passing the 10th class is a turning point in every student’s life and that the government is committed to empowering minorities through quality education. He highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Janab N. Chandrababu Naidu, special programs are being implemented to train minority students for UPSC, APPSC, TET, NEET, and DSC examinations. The Minister directed officials to ensure the speedy distribution of study materials to all Urdu medium students across the state and emphasized that free education and training programs are being provided through CEDM centers. CEDM Director Janab Yakub Basha informed that the material was prepared six months ahead of the public exams and would be distributed statewide by November 5. The event was attended by District Education Officer Janardhan Reddy, Urdu Schools Inspector Asmuddin, and several teachers and staff.
