Vijayawada, July 10, 2025: The Department of Commerce at S.R.R & C.V.R Government College successfully organized a Regional Investor Awareness Seminar on July 10, 2025, in collaboration with Central Depository Services Limited CDSL. The event aimed to educate students about financial literacy, investment opportunities, and the importance of economic awareness in today’s dynamic world. The seminar was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. M. Siva Prasad, Assistant Vice President, CDSL, Mr. M.K. Srikanth, General Manager, SEBI, and Mr. K. Naga Bhushan, Executive, Bombay Stock Exchange, who delivered keynote addresses. They conducted insightful sessions on: Primary & Secondary Markets Investment Instruments & Mutual Funds Financial Security and Risk Awareness All speakers emphasized the importance of early financial education, encouraging students to stay informed and make responsible investment choices. Vijayawada, July 10: As part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance student outcomes and community participation in education, a Mega Parents Teachers Meeting 2.0 was held today at SMA , Urdu High School Bhavanipuram. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Head Master Srinivas Garu, Former Corporator Muhammad Abdul Khader Saheb, and Corporator Anjaiah reddy Saheb, along with teachers and a large number of parents. During the program, Mr. Khader, who is also an active community representative, highlighted the importance of education for minority students, especially girls. He emphasized the significance of Urdu as a second language and shared that he had recently submitted a formal representation to the Principal of Gandhiji Mahila Kalasala, advocating for the inclusion of Urdu as a second language in intermediate and degree courses. The meeting also focused on improving student attendance, tracking academic performance, and enhancing parental involvement in students’ learning journeys. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive and quality education while addressing linguistic and cultural representation for Urdu-speaking communities.

Vijayawada, July 7: Senior TDP leader and Ex-Corporator Mohammad Abdul Khader Saheb, who also serves as the State Organising Secretary of the TDP Minority Cell, submitted a formal representation to Smt. M. Ramana Sri, Principal of Gandhiji Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada, urging the inclusion of Urdu as a second language in both junior and degree college programs. In his representation, Mr. Khader highlighted the growing number of Urdu-speaking students from municipal Urdu medium schools and minority backgrounds who seek admission into the college. He emphasized that offering Urdu as a second language would support these students academically and help preserve their linguistic and cultural heritage. Quoting recommendations from the Gopal Singh Commission (1983) and the Sachar Committee (2006), he stressed the importance of promoting Urdu education among minorities, especially girls. He also mentioned the state's recognition of Urdu as the second official language and the initiatives of CM Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu Garu in supporting minority welfare. The Principal assured that the request would be positively considered in line with the institution's commitment to inclusive and quality education for all.

Annamayya District, June-28 In a dedicated effort to promote Urdu language and cultural infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Mohammad Gouse Peer, Director/Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh State Urdu Academy (APSUA), conducted an official visit to various Urdu institutions across Annamayya district. His visit included three important locations: Rayachoty Urdu Library, Computer Training Centre, and Urdu Ghar cum Shadikhana Gurramkonda Urdu Library Vayalpadu Madanapalli Urdu Library, Computer Training Centre, and Urdu Ghar cum Shadikhana During the inspection, the Director reviewed the facilities and interacted with staff to assess existing infrastructure and future needs. He emphasized the importance of creating inclusive educational spaces for Urdu-speaking communities and ensuring continued government support for promoting the Urdu language across all regions. These institutions play a critical role in nurturing linguistic and cultural identity. The government’s positive support is essential to further empower Urdu learners and promote literacy, stated the APSUA Director. The visit highlighted the growing demand for digital learning tools, community engagement, and structured curriculum in Urdu, especially in semi-urban and rural areas. The Andhra Pradesh government, through APSUA, has already taken notable steps by establishing Urdu libraries and training centers in several districts. Further media coverage and public awareness are being encouraged to bring visibility to these efforts and mobilize greater community participation. This inspection reinforces the state's commitment to linguistic diversity and educational equity, ensuring that Urdu continues to be a vibrant and accessible language for future generations.
