Urdu Language Promotional Poster Released in Chittoor District to Encourage Linguistic Inclusion

Chittoor, April 2025: In a continued effort to promote the Urdu language across Andhra Pradesh, the District Minorities Welfare Office of Chittoor today officially released the Urdu Language Promotional Poster. The initiative, first launched last week by the Hon’ble Minister for Minority Welfare and Law, Shri N.M.D. Farooq Saheb, aims to raise awareness about the cultural, historical, and literary significance of Urdu. Today's event was presided over by District Minority Welfare Officer, Mr. K. Chinna Reddy, who emphasized the inclusive and unifying nature of Urdu. He reiterated that Urdu is not bound to any single community, but is a shared heritage of all Indians. The release event took place at the District Minority Welfare Office in Chittoor, and was attended by staff members from the Andhra Pradesh State Urdu Academy, whose presence is also captured in the event photos. The attendees expressed pride in contributing to a cause that strengthens both education and cultural diversity. This poster campaign, initiated by the Andhra Pradesh State Urdu Academy, seeks to encourage Urdu learning and preserve its linguistic charm for future generations. More such releases and awareness campaigns are expected to follow in other districts over the coming weeks.

Vijayawada Bhavunipuram, April 25, 2025 In a remarkable achievement, a Class 10 student from SMA Khuddus Urdu High School has topped her school by scoring an impressive 574 out of 600 marks in the SSC Board Examinations 2025. Her outstanding performance in the Urdu medium stream has earned her widespread appreciation and recognition. Mr. Sujana Chowdary, Hon’ble MLA of Vijayawada West Constituency, personally congratulated the student over a phone call and praised her dedication and hard work. He also assured his full support for her future education, encouraging her to pursue higher studies with confidence. The student comes from a modest background. Her father, Shaikh Ghouse, earns a livelihood as a scooter mechanic and has been tirelessly working to educate his children. Despite limited resources, his unwavering support has played a key role in his daughter’s success. Former VMC Corporator Shaikh Abdul Khader Saheb also extended warm congratulations, saying: This is a proud moment not just for the family but for the entire Urdu-speaking community. Vijayawada Ajith Singh Nagar April 21-04-2025: As part of the state-wide school enrollment campaign, a special drive was conducted at MK Baig Municipal Elementary School, 59th Division, Ajit Singh Nagar, where students newly admitted to Class 1 were formally welcomed and issued admission certificates. B. Venkateswara Rao, North MEO (Mandal Educational Officer), who presided over the event, emphasized the important role of Anganwadi staff and parents in ensuring that all children aged six years are enrolled in government schools. He urged every teacher and assistant teacher to actively participate in door-to-door visits within their localities to boost student enrollment. Highlighting the numerous free government schemes available such as free textbooks, uniforms, nutritious midday meals, and school kits—Mr. Rao stressed the importance of spreading awareness among parents to leverage these benefits for their children's future. The event saw the active participation of Headmaster M.S. Imam Basha, S.K. Sayeed Saheb, School Management Committee Vice-Chairman Nagaraju, Hemalatha, Hameeda, and Anganwadi teachers Nagamani, Nirmala, Gracemma, Vani, and Malleshwari, along with several parents and community members. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Minister for Law and Justice, and Minority Welfare Shri N.M.D. Farooq, who officially launched the poster and reiterated the government’s commitment to preserving and promoting linguistic diversity. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Farooq emphasized, Urdu is a beautiful national language of India. It is not confined to a particular region, community, or religion—it is a language that belongs to all of us. I encourage everyone to learn Urdu and experience its rich literary and cultural heritage. SRR & CVR College Hosts Free Medical Camp Benefiting Over 150 Individuals

Vijayawada,17- April 2025: In a commendable effort to promote health and wellness among students and the community, SRR & CVR Government Degree College, Vijayawada, organized a free medical camp on its campus on 17-04-2025, in collaboration with Liv Hospital, Guru Nanak Colony, Vijayawada. The initiative was coordinated by the college’s NSS Unit, aiming to provide essential healthcare services to those in need. The camp ran from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, offering free screenings and consultations for BP, blood sugar, ECG, general health, cardiac care, and physiotherapy. Over 150 individuals, including students, faculty, and local residents, benefited from the services provided. The medical team was led by renowned cardiologist Dr. G. J. Narasimha Rao and physiotherapist Dr. Harshita, supported by a team of experienced nurses and medical technicians from Live Hospital. Their dedication and professionalism ensured quality care and smooth coordination throughout the event. College Principal Dr. K. Bhagya Lakshmi inaugurated the camp and appreciated the NSS unit’s consistent efforts toward social service and health awareness. She emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and regular health checkups for students. Dr. Kolleti Ramesh, NSS District Coordinator of NTR District and Program Officer at SRR College, expressed gratitude to the medical team and encouraged students to participate actively in community welfare initiatives. Faculty members including Dr. D.S.V.S. Balasubrahmanyam, Dr. Nageswara Rao, and Dr. D. Yugandhar (Head of Physical Education and NSS PO), along with other staff and NSS volunteers, played a crucial role in organizing and managing the camp efficiently.
